Resilient Shadow Healer
Of all the builds I've made, one of my top three favorites is definitely the Resilient Disrupter. It feels really complete the way it is super defensive while gimping any melee and/or caster I target... and it heals teammates as a bonus. I took the defensive elements and tried to expand on the healing role a bit when I had the idea to merge it with Shadow Form. This is how it came together:
================================
Resilient Shadow Healer (Rit/As)
Restoration: 16
Shadow Arts: 12
Resilient Weapon: Ally gets 21s of +6 regen and +24AL if suffering from Hex/Condition
Wielder's Boon: Ally gets +63HP, receives an additional +42HP (+105 HP) if under a Weapon spell
Soothing Memories: Ally gets +106HP, +3E returned to you if holding ashes
Shadow Form: Almost 20s of protection from spells and physical attacks, drop to 41 HP when it ends.
Generous was Tsungrai: Hold ashes for 63s of +146 max HP, receive +292 when ashes drop (10% sac)
Resilient was Xiko: Hold ashes for 21s of +2HP regen for each Hex/Condition. Lose 4 of them when ashes drop.
Dark Escape: Run +25% faster in this stance for 13s, take -50% damage from all sources
Flesh of my Flesh: Sacrifice 50% health and Rez teammate with your current HP and 21% energy
I wear the full Oracle armor for +10AL when holding an item. I have a Restoration staff (+5E) and a Channeling focus item (+12E/-1E pip) in one slot, and a Restoration staff with +5E and +20% enchant in a second slot.
================================
Heh, this one easily passed the Gladiator point test as I got one on the first try (I'd forgotten FomF though). Yes it is mostly a Rit build, but the Assassin elite is the skill that helps it shine the most. For solo builds in random arenas, it doesn't get much tougher to take down than this. The build does four things for you and your team:
- Absorbs Hexes and Conditions, which are better on you than your teammates
- Provides very solid backup heal support for the team (hopefully they are their own primary healers)
- Wastes enemy mana from failed casts/skill attacks against you
- Provides a hard rez for your team to continue to fight on over and over
Because this build is pretty complex to play, I'll break down the mechanics into combinations (or 'combos') that are easier to understand. Depending on the situation you are in, choose the appropriate combo sequence to make the most of it. The most important thing to remember however is that you do not want to waste energy. You have enough to play comfortably, but don't over-heal yourself or your teammates if you don't want to run out at the wrong time:
General Healing
Combo #1: RW+RwX
Use this combo to instantly get +8 regen and +24AL for over 20s even if suffering from only one Hex/Condition. The great thing is they aren't enchants and can not be stripped.
Combo #2: RW+WB
This is a combo you use on yourself or a teammate when suffering from a Hex/Condition. It delivers +6 regen and +24AL for over 20s, followed by +105 HP every 4s from each WB cast. This is great for a friend who needs a FAST heal sequence to get back into great shape.
Combo #3: RwX+SoM
If you are holding RwX ashes, you will get its great defensive benefits of +2 regen per Hex/Condition while healing you or your friend for 106 HP with SoM every 5s. With an item held, you also get +3E back with every SoM cast. This is the cheapest way to spam a heal in this build (-2E per +106 HP). Drop the ashes if you need a bad Condition off of you, but all Hexes will remain.
Combo #4: RwX+RW+WB+SoM
This is a mega combo that REALLY heals you fast, and does an awesome job for a teammate as well. For yourself, you are at +8E regen minimum (+10 regen with two afflictions on you), you have +24 AL, and you are healed for 211 HP every 5s. For a teammate, He is at +6 regen, +24 AL with +211 HP every 5s (RwX doesn't affect him). Add DE for an additional -50% damage to yourself as well as extra kite speed.
Combo #5: DE+SoM+WB
This is the best combo to use on yourself when you don't have any Hexes/Conditions on you but are taking a lot of damage (i.e. Air Eles and Vamp Rangers). DE let's you kite away and take -50% damage, while SoM->WB will heal for +169 HP every 5s. You won't get any regen or the +24AL bonus until you get afflicted with something, but at least you're harder to take out.
Combo #6: GwT+SoM+'Drop Item'+WB
This is a huge heal for you if you are in trouble. Let's say SF and DE are recharging, and you need a lot of health fast but have no Hexes/Conditions on you. GwT gives you a net +100 or so (after the -10% sacrifice), SoM adds 106, and when you drop the ashes you lose -146 HP but gain +292 HP at the same time. The net health gain in about 3s is almost +350 HP for all of this. Cast WB if you need it for another +63 HP and you have about +410 HP in under 5s.
+++++++++++++++++++++
Shadow Form Protection
Combo #7: SF+GwT
Here is an important combo. Whenever you turn on SF, you should also start holding GwT ashes. During the 20s of protection, you can regen mana safely, kite away. or continue to heal. The idea is to have GwT recharged before you drop it later.
Combo #8: (just as SF ends) DE+'Drop Item'+GwT+RwX
This sweet combo has never failed to bring me back up to near-full health in less than 4s. Remember, once SF ends it leaves you at 41 HP. Use DE to kite away if you wish, but the biggest key here is to drop your old GwT ashes at the moment SF ends. Doing so will take you from 41 and bring you to 190 or so, which you then fix by holding GwT again to give you close to 300 HP, which you exchange quickly for RwX ashes to bring you up to 98% of full health. You are now able to do any RwX-related combos instantly, and if DE was up the entire time, you are still taking only 50% damage.
BTW, don't use GwT after SF ends if you didn't hold it beforehand. The -10% sacrifice will likely kill you if you do.
+++++++++++++++++++++
Rez Support
Combo #9: SF+GwT+FomF
The best time to use the rez is under SF, but don't forget to hold GwT ashes first. Yes you lose 50% HP with this rez, but under SF it doesn't matter since you end with 41 HP regardless. Heal your teammate with SoM after the rez.
Combo #10: DE+RW+RwX+FomF
This is a great amount of protection for you as you rez provided you have at least on Hex/Condition on you. Otherwise you are only protected by DE for -50% damage. You can choose to not have one or more of these protectors if you are not in danger so you can save energy.
Combo #11: DE+RW+GwT+FomF
Switching GwT for RwX allows you to have a guaranteed additional +146 HP available as you Rez besides the -50% damage you'll take while under +6 regen and +24 AL. This works out best if you have no Hex/Condition since the -50% damage and +146 HP will still kick in regardless.
---------------------------------------------
Hopefully all that made sense. It's a new description format than what I usually put up, but I thought it'd come out clearer this way. Try not to use SF unless you really need to and it should all work out pretty good. It is a great elite, and any spell or attack used on it will fail, taking the mana cost of the skill with it. You can get some quick-trigger Hexers and Eles to waste a lot of mana with this elite on you.
I stay back, healing teammates who need it most. Sometimes I don't need to worry about myself if others are targeted, which saves mana when I don't need to put RwX and/or RW on me. If in a tight spot, try to see if DE is enough to get you to safety before using SF. Either way, you have a LOT of defensive options to choose from.
The build can get pretty confusing, so go to Nameless Isle first just for a survival test and to practice managing energy. Shamed went with me there and saw how easy it held up vs. the Hex and Warrior masters as I let them pound on me until they got tired, lol. You shouldn't have to struggle if you are using it right; as always let me know if you have any questions or comments.

Tried it...phenomenal. One more thing to add to the list of why I love rits. Well done creating this build. (It was great on the Burning Isle map, I had a touch ranger and 2 warriors on me. Cast Xiko's Ashes and Resilient Weapon and then ran into the lava...hehe.)
